Golden Wedding commission – progress report

The Golden Wedding double portrait is progressing well – here are Christine’s eyes as a sneak preview! I have almost finished applying the pieces but am now at the stage where I like to live with the work for a couple of weeks to see if any individual piece ‘jumps out at me’ as wrong. Sometimes removing just one small bead of the wrong colour can make a huge difference – I find this fascinating – a very interesting part of the whole process. When I am finally happy, I will apply 2 layers of diluted PVA glue to remove the stringy bits from the glue gun and make the whole work fixed and strong.
