I’ve just started a new work and it makes me feel HAPPY! I enter my workroom and I feel a sense of calm descend upon me. I can’t think about anything else while I’m working.    This, I understand, is called “Flow.” * (I’d never heard the term until a year or two ago.)

So I’ve started a new commission for (yet another!) portrait of Frida Kahlo. She’s one very popular lady! After this, I need a break from commissions to do more of what I want to do, what inspires me…

I’m branching out into a new venture – shall we say a ‘side-step’ from my usual work. More information to follow…

* The title “Flow” refers to the immersive, focused and productive state of mind which many people seek to cultivate as a means of being at their most productive, effective or creative. It applies equally to sportspeople, those in business or academia, and of course to those in creative or artistic endeavours: musicians, writers, visual artists…
